How To Work With Us:
Grant Guidelines
The Florence M. Muller Foundation is dedicated to strengthening our community and our natural environment through grantmaking that supports child well-being, education, health care, and environmental conservation efforts within Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Seneca, Wayne, and Yates counties in New York State.
Strategic and responsive grants are available to organizations invited to apply. Strategic grants are initiated by the Board of Directors. Responsive grants are initiated by organizations.
Responsive Grant Process
The responsive grant process starts when an organization proposes a program or project grant opportunity to the Foundation. This is done either by completing the brief online letter of inquiry or contacting staff to schedule a conversation. Organizations with programs or projects determined to align with the Foundation’s areas of focus will be invited to complete a grant application. The grant application forms and instructions will be provided with the invitation to apply.
Timeline
Inquiries are welcome at any time. Organizations invited to apply may submit their grant application at any time as grant applications are accepted on a rolling basis. The Board meets quarterly and may consider grant applications at each meeting. Applications are encouraged as early as possible to ensure prompt review and response. It is strongly recommended that applications be received by February 1st for March consideration, May 1st for June consideration, August 1st for September consideration, and by November 1st for consideration in December.
Grant Size
Typical responsive grants range between $5,000 and $50,000.
